Israeli Arab sentenced for murder of American girl

Dear Editor,

Who put in “Israeli Arab sentenced for murder of American girl” this lousy sentence:

“Her disappearance came during intense Israeli-Palestinian fighting, when militant attacks on civilians were common.”

This “intense Israeli-Palestinian fighting” consisted of Palestinian terrorism and Israeli attempt to defend ourselves. Over a 1000 Israelis got murdered in cold blood.

You would call a bank robbery an “intense monetary dispute”?

You would call rape an “intense interpersonal power-struggle”?

You would call an extermination camp the result of an “intense discord between sections of the population”?

You wouldn’t, would you?

That would be the lowest form of false moral equivalence.

So why is it so hard for AP to identify villains when they endanger or attack Israelis?

We wonder.
