Arab League chief: no progress in indirect talks

Dear Editor,

Your “Arab League chief: no progress in indirect talks” has the same anti-Israel bias that we find in most AP reporting again.

AP only quotes a couple of professional Jew-haters and leaves it at that. They talk about:

  • indirect talks between Israel and the Palestinians are failing. Sounding reasonable for not pointing out the culprit, only to do that right away after that.
  • no chance for a shift to direct negotiations. Leaving out: we won’t pressure the Palestinians because the conflict serves us well for 60 plus years.
  • the sides have made no tangible progress so far. Leaving out: we won’t pressure the Palestinians because the conflict serves us well for 60 plus years.
  • we are now facing the failure of these negotiations. Leaving out: we won’t pressure the Palestinians because the conflict serves us well for 60 plus years.
  • the Palestinian Authority will submit a report. Leaving out: Israel has a voice too.
  • Israeli occupation and the Gaza blockade. Leaving out: That the “occupation” was just a recapturing from an illegal Jordan occupation and that before that, the Palestinians also didn’t want peace with a Jewish State; Leaving out: That the “Gaza blockade” was a reaction, not an Israeli action.
  • urged the Arabs to adopt a unified position on these issues. Pretending that the Arab nation are just too divided to impose a solution, instead of having ill will.

I would prefer quotes from Mein Kampf.

They are also sick, twisted, one-sided slander.

But at least, they are not of fleeting historical significance.

Shalom,
