I assume that “Israeli troops filmed dancing on duty in West Bank” was your response to our request to break the circle of negativity about Israel and show something positive.
We value that attempt but question if you succeeded. Problem is that most people that follow the news are stressed out and over-serious, so they might miss the joke. All the more so because this is typical Israeli (if not Jewish) humor, and we are not sure that this silliness is understood by outsiders. Please insert a explanatory remark about this. (We agree that once we need to explain a joke the fun is mostly gone, but hey – you try.)
Next time a “light” story about Israel could be something more of substance. We recall your exemplary “Why do Israel’s Arabs like eating matzoh?”
